Combining DNA and RNA in Cancer Understanding

Noam Shomron, Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences

Our team integrates DNA and RNA sequencing with bioinformatics to explore the molecular basis of cancer and translate these findings into clinical applications. We focus on identifying regulatory mutations, non-coding RNAs, and expression patterns that influence tumor behavior and treatment response. Using multi-omic data and machine learning, our team seeks biomarkers, understands the molecular changes, and then offers a potential treatment. This integrative approach allows us to bridge basic research and clinical practice, advancing precision oncology through a deeper understanding of cancer genomics.
